Despite the “recovery” mode I was in all day thanks to partying last night, it ended up being a unique, good birthday. Note to self: when drinking the night BEFORE your birthday, remember the potential outcome of literally spending the day very sick/hungover. (consequence of a Sunday bday!)
Nonetheless, I’m finally able to handle solid foods so dessert tonight alone in my new 1 bedroom apartment was this cinnamon roll with candle. Yes my Mom literally sang to me over the phone before I blew it out :) Here’s to the scary unknown of being a young, single, working woman at 25!
With much trepidation, I’m throwing my name in the hat for the newest member of the ‘Beachmint’ series. I started with Jewelmint, and although I have much happier moved on to BaubleBar (thanks Steph!), I still give Stylemint a chance. As in my life today!! (seriously, 2 hours when it should only take about 30 minutes??)
So my new apartment building is basically like living in a swanky hotel all the time. This includes a little shop with fresh food that literally connects to the lobby with entry by key fob. They do have some crazy lays chip flavors for sale, though. Dill pickle? Loaded chili and cheese ruffles? Eek!
Wow Change
No more roommates! Thanks to Alla and everyone else who has seriously helped me look for a roommate for my two bedroom. Literally in the space of 48 hours everything changed and now I’m the proud new owner of a leased one bedroom!!
Sure I’ll be poor, sure I’ll be hosting lots of potluck dinner parties (hint, hint), but I ultimately decided that given my current roommate/housing situation has seriously deteriorated (more crazy stories to follow), I had to get out fast — so here I am!
On a final note, I have the best Dad in the world. He literally changed his flights last minute to fly here to help move out. Like we are talking major cross country travel. Yep, I’m a pretty lucky girl :)
With his 40th birthday approaching, Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones announced Thursday he will retire after the season. Jones, who has spent his entire 18-year career with the Braves, battled a rash of injuries the past several seasons and actually decided to retire in 2010, only to change his mind. This time, he means it.
